It was a wonderful night to go for a little trip to the theater. Not a movie theater though. Those places had no class. But live performances. Yes, live. People on stage showing true character that a screen could simply never capture. And there was so much more variety on Broadway too as a simple building couldn't even house half the shows that were put on and no play was ever exactly the same.
It was something Cortana always enjoyed. To watch people being wholly committed to a part with such passion and to feel how they feel in that moment was far better than trying to empathize with a screen and digital recordings where it took several takes to make that one scene perfect. She pulls up to one of the theaters on the strip and gets out to allow valet to take the little Prius to a proper parking spot while she went up and bought a ticket for the nights showing. It was a simple play of an old fairy tale but she enjoyed them the most. To see what kind of spin the people chose to take the story was always interesting and tonight it had to do with a poor downtrodden girl who found romance in the arms of a prince after her step family tried to keep her from a happy life. Cortana had a hard time understanding how people could be so cruel to one another, especially family, but she knew that not everyone had it so easy.
Once she had her ticket she makes her way inside the grand building and makes her way to her seat, up to the balcony. It wasn't the best seat, but she didn't mind. She just enjoyed the fact that she could enjoy the play that would soon be starting and got comfortable as she waited for the curtain to rise and the play to begin.
