Caine The First
Yoya
Theme song: Wolf and Raven (2008) - Sonata Arctica
Physical/Psychological Description: To describe his mind, would be to try to understand a creature so inhuman, one may go mad for the attempt. However, he is not entirely misunderstood. He feels a great remorse for his past, but feels he must usher in a new era for his kind. However he is quiet about what this era will be of. He is very loyal to those loyal to him, and as such treats his servants very well. On the other hand, if a slave should ever do something he feels as a betrayal, he is a ruthless, heartless and more than willing to take his pay in flesh.

Background:Qyn and Hvl, the sons of Adam and Eve, known to the world as Cain and Abel. Sometimes written as Qayin and Hevel. Cain was the first human to be born, and Abel the first human to die.
Adam knew his wife Eve intimately, and she conceived and bore Cain. She said, "I have had a male child with the Lord's help."
Then she also gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel became a shepherd of a flock, but Cain cultivated the land.
In the course of time Cain presented some of the land's produce as an offering to the Lord.
And Abel also presented an offering – some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. The Lord had regard for Abel and his offering,
but He did not have regard for Cain and his offering. Cain was furious, and he was downcast.
Then the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you furious? And why are you downcast?
If you offer properly, but divide improperly, have you not sinned? Be still; to you shall he submit, and you shall rule over him."
Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field."
And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him
God asked Cain, "Where is Abel thy brother?" Cain replied, "I know not: am I my brother's keeper?"
And He said, "What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth."
None knew why he did the terrible deed. None but him alone. To this day he refuses to speak of it. Either even he's forgotten, or it is out of respect for Abel.
Little did the Farmer know, the Lord was in fact a deity which longer exists, but His curse came to pass nonetheless. The sun brightened and burned his eyes, his flesh. Crying out in anguish for the cruel god's wrath, he sought shelter within a cave, and waited. As a terrible thirst built in the empty pit of his stomach he attempted to sate it, to no avail. Water, wines, juices. Nothing he found could quench the terrible burning. As he lay curled in pain, in his cave, a demon wandered by, hearing his cries. She comforted the broken, and cursed man, despite the mark of cruelty that marred his soul.
She cared for him, helped him regain his strength when he told her of his thirst. She immediately cut her thigh, and lowered the man's lips to the wound. He drank, and drank, and drank. However, with the celestial blood came a great rush. As he fed off the demon, her innate magic flowed into him, empowering him. He collapsed into a nightmare inflicted coma.
The demon took advantage of the comatose male, and after gaining his seed, she fled and left him to his fate. When he awoke, he found the sun no longer burned his eyes, or flesh, but was merely unpleasant to stand in it's light. He wandered for many untold years until he found a city. Confused at how long he had been unconscious he entered the city, known as Ubar. Ruled by a noble king.
To sate his thirst he stalked and hunted the noble king, named Enoch. As he fed on the crimson fluid, he had a thought, and returned some of his own blood into the man's mouth. When the king awakened into a new state of being, he immediately relinquished his throne so that Caine may rule.
At his Childe's insistence, he turned Irad, bestowing a strength the warrior had never known. Soon after came Zillah, the most beautiful creature Caine had ever seen. However, after the turning, she rebuked his attentions. He sought knowledge from an old Crone, who instead tricked him into a blood bond. It was with this knowledge he gained Zillah's affections.
For an age, the Childer of Caine prospered, and they learned the art of creating more progeny. With these skills at their disposal they made the Thirteen. After such, Caine proclaimed that no more shall be made. They flourished and thrived, and Enoch became the first City of Vampires.
The Thirteen eventually began to worship him as a god in his own right, which he denied vehemently. The Thirteen however, wouldn't hear it. Believing that the Childer of Caine, did not bestow upon him the respect they felt he deserved, The Thirteen destroyed the Childer while he was away, and burned the city to the ground. They founded what was called the Second City. When he returned to Enoch, he found it burned, and the corpses of his Childer and the human residents still smoking. He hunted the Thirteen to their new city and cursed them all with a unique curse; the Weaknesses of the Clans.
Now, it is said that was the last sighting of the Dark Father. It was not. He tracked the demon who had trained and cared for him. He sought her blood, which called to him unlike anything he ever felt. Upon finding her, he discovered she had borne him trueborn children. One of which, the girl, was already sold off to some slave trader. While the male child was not. In his fury, and wrath, he slew the demon, and took the boy under his shadowed wing to raise and rear. What has happened to the male child is unknown, even to Caine. Yoya, however, the goddess of life, decided to ensure his evil could not spread, and bound him to Her service, to serve as Her Herald.
During his travels, he has amassed a great number of holdings, servants, and properties. He slept. For millennium. He awoke to save a young girl, and raised her to serve as his own herald. A creature with power, such as his, needs their own announcer. Raging at the Vampire Uprising, he seeks to return things to the balance.
