Seeing Red [private past thread]

[Tyr Madsen]

Madsen was young, nineteen, and in love with a shy Avalynn Llewellyn. He had spent extra time at the library tonight they had on campus. The aspiring private investigator was going to pull an all-nighter, again, because his insomnia was acting up. The disturbing images he saw in his nightmares were starting to stick more vividly in his mind, like some awful aftertaste and made having a good night's rest next to impossible.

His mind was elsewhere as he sat there with the textbook open to a chapter on electronic surveillance, daydreaming about his girlfriend. He could have called her that, right? They'd only gone out together for about a month and had a couple small dates. What he would have given to be spending time studying her rather than his notes. 

[Avalynn Llewellyn]

The jittery Avalynn had just separated from her sister to go study. She quietly sits next to Tyr and takes out her laptop working on an assignment about Latent Fingerprints. "Du virker nervøs i kveld. Er det et problem kjære?" Norwegian came to her much easier than English, part of what helped her find Tyr. Her English was fairly horrible and he was able to translate for her.


1.You seem nervous tonight. Is there a problem dear one?

He hadn't expected anyone to walk in, and even though he could have smelled the perfume Avalynn always wore her voice must have still caused him to flinch because he didn't notice himself.

Between the two of them she was more approachable: however, Tyr was more fluent in English--though when they were together Norwegian was far more comfortable. Tyr responded methodically as ever, "Jeg er utslitt der et alt. Så jeg bestemte meg for å studere her. Jeg hadde ikke ventet deg å fortsatt være våken ellers ville jeg ha ringt deg, min kjærlighet"(I am exhausted that is all. So I thought I would study here. I was not expecting you to still be awake otherwise I would have called you, my love.)

Giving his best attempt at a smile he tried to act like the lack of sleep didn't bother him, that the violent images circulating through his thoughts didn't disturb his composure. His gaze traveled naturally to her chest so much so that it seemed a smooth action. Madsen did his best to get back into his mentality of work staying with work.

Avalynn looks over his text book. Her hand touching his gently, it was the longest she had ever touched him. "It's okay I was out with Alana, she wouldn't let me go home to study until I've been to at least one party. You know she has a crush on you... right?" She asks with a smile.
