Somebody get me through this nightmare (open)

[Adam Helviath]

Adam laid in the hotel room, blood soaked sheets  and a hole in the wall surrounded by blood. Slowly the carved up arms start to refuse to bleed and close up while the bullet wound in the back of his head start to close up. Prophet, another curse upon him he thought, was what he had become in addition to whatever clot turned him into. This was not the first time he's tried this but it was the most so far, he attempted to bleed out and finish it off with a bullet but again, being a prophet and having healing, he was stuck in this curse of not being able to get out. The shot was heard, he didn't use a silencer, and the door wasn't locked because he truly believed he would get it this time. Depression ravaged his mind along with borderline madness from everything going on.

Slowly the wounds closed, blood stopped flowing from him, chimera features now hung upon him and he was slowly getting back to how he should look. Roughly fifteen empty bottles of whiskey litter the floor should anyone walk in, it looked like a hellish scene. After a few minutes of unconsciousness he finally opens his eyes and simply says, "Fuck..." weak at first before throwing the gun at the wall across from him, "FUCK!" he shouted while covering his face with his hands, most of the metal in his room had bent and contorted, ripped from their normal location. If anyone had entered the room he would soon address them.

[Kakeru Kun Fallen]

Kakeru walks in, looks at the whiskey bottles kicking one over. "Really? You get the honor of being treated like a god yourself Adam and this is how you handle it? You have everyone who you love, you have everything you need and you shoot yourself?" Kakeru walks over to him growling. "You fucking bastard." He pins Adam against a wall, "You have Riot, Allesandra, Zero, Z, Cel, you have more girls than you can handle and still you think you have the right to BITCH and moan about being as old as you are? I am 4 fucking thousand years old. Sky is even older. Ask her why she doesn't complain about being alive for so long. You were ripped out of your timeline, big deal. At least it's still the same REALITY at least it's the same world!"

[Echo]

There was one being Kakeru had slipped over. The fact that the god of Science had invested interest in Adam; therefore, he oddly cared about the progress or setbacks that the now-prophet of nightmares was drowning in. "Correction..." sounded a hollow tone, one of the metal beams that were bent started to expand and warp into a humanoid shape before disconnecting entirely from the infrastructure.

"Molecular complexes vary. The Adam here can not possible be the same Adam that existed in the past; outcomes would alter his current path thus differentiating himself from...well, himself as he is now". Echo commenting coolly as he picked up one of the empty whiskey bottles in his hand inspecting it like he hadn't seen it before. Then he glanced up the blood on the wall and bed. "What have you been doing?" the god of Science asked like he already had a notion but was still confused by it, his liquid metal eyes swirling in their copper, silver, and gold dance as he finally rested his sights on Adam. It was easy to tell the alchemist may have been in trouble with Echo, again.

Adam just laid there with kakeru yelling at him before he started to speak. Echo caused him to pause once more, looking over he felt the disapointment, or at least made up the feeling in his head, before looking back at kakeru, "I watched most of them die, I've watched them move on... I left some... Some I watched turn into monsters because I wasn't there to protect them... I'm only close ta 500.... ya ain't human... yer a kid till like a few hundred... we aren' supposed ta live past 70... I understand kid but look at me... I'mma puppet of the gods... clot fucked with my head, nightmare forced me ta be her prophet... everything I knew was either a lie or thrown out..." Another heavy sigh escapes him, "do ya truly think I wanna be neck deep in women 'n people? Sky's the queen'a the blood suckers... I'm a pup tha' bit the hand that fed 'n now I'm tryin' ta piece together my mind... I used ta be fluent in fifty eight languages... I used ta write papers on biological thesis 'n helped create humunculi and constructs..." Adam laughs a little, "I hear voices 'n screams... I feel the knowledge I used ta have weigh a heavy hole in my mind... I can' keep all the people I love protected if I'm around em cause I'm hunted..."

Turning to echo he looks defeated, "It's not like it worked... parta me knew it wouldn'..." Again his gaze went to kakeru, "The other difference is tha I hate myself..."

Kakeru growls and slams Adam against the wall harder, "I have seen so much in my years and you... you are only 500. Sky may be Queen of the Vampires but at least she KEPT HER COOL." Kakeru was pissed at everyone trying to kill themselves or others, "Do you really want your life to end? Do you want to leave Zero here with no one?" Kakeru put his gun to Adam's head, "Because you will regret that choice."

[Echo]

"...Nightmare". It was a statement that had taken even Echo by surprise. Quietly he kept his sudden dislike about the events that had happened since he last spoke with the chimera. "She ruined you", he muttered observantly. This was ultimately the problem that Echo had with humans--they were easily malleable and thus broke just as much as they adapted. Most of this situation the science god failed to relate to but he didn't appreciate the threat the prophet of war made with the firearm pressed against Adam's forehead. As he used telekinesis to rip the pistol from the elf's hand and dismantled it into its component parts which rotated in midair as he spoke," Nameless offers you a home, Adam. The knowledge you once had can be replaced. There are...adjustments that must be made prior to that however. Know that you are valuable to society. That you have a purpose". His voice was analytic and not geared necessarily towards compassion.

Adam just let the abuse happen before Echo spoke, "Kakeru, I have no authority in the world... all I can do is sit back and watch is undone... what I do is either foiled or altered by gods throwin' me around like a beanbag..." his gaze turned to Echo, "I can't even work with echo before I'm grabbed 'n abused by another one..." His gaze once more turns to Kakeru, "I understand your... point, but what rages on in my mind... endless nights of bein' awake... I don' sleep unless I push my body to it's limits... I don' remember the last time I had a dream... if I really have purpose like echo said... wha' the fuck is it? cause right now I don' feel like the purpose is my own..."

[Kakeru Kun Fallen]

The goddess of nightmares appeared in a flourish of dark spirits. She glares at Echo, "Ruined him? I saved his ass until you would get out of your tower and away from Jakyb and your pussy long enough to realize how useful this human is. Everything happening to him is not my influence but how his mortal mind thinks my power should influence him. Not my fault." Kakeru glares at Echo, "I was proving a point. You ruined it. Why do you give a flying fuck if I put a bullet between his eyes? He doesn't give a fuck about the friends he'd be leaving behind because we don't mean shit to him when he is self-absorbed like this." Kakeru may or may not have some pent up rage.

[Echo]

The god of Science didn't move in the least when Reaper appeared. The situation was awkward, as most things involving the clockwork god were; casual was his tone,"I knew of Adam's potential the moment we met. He has gotten so far...to be rewritten by someone else . A goddess with no method on which to guide; however, I thank you for preventing his untimely demise for what it is worth".

He let out a huff though his body didn't need oxygen in the same manner humans did. " Whydoes your god need you? It is a similar principal. He has shown my work marvelously on repeated occasions. Good results are never thrown out".

[Adam Helviath]

Adam sighs as he closes his eyes, "ya act like I'd remember... like I said, my memories... abilities... some grow but others... others I lose..." Opening his eyes they are blue once more for a moment at least, "I am leakin' memories like someone shot my car 'n it's slowly leakin fluids... I used ta know every single construct's name tha' I made... I used ta know every humucli I made... by name, I used ta know where 'n when I created em... now I can't even remember more than 5 of em... I forgot wha' my own world used ta be like before Alaska..." Adam shook his head, "I feel myself goin' insane... 'n I don' wanna snap to the point where I become a danger to innocent people..."

Finally he looks down, it's not that he's self absorbed, he seems worried of what he's becoming and what's happening to him. Adam is afraid of going insane and hurting people.

[Kakeru Kun Fallen]

Kakeru leans back against the wall, "Give me back my gun. It is to me what Celestine is to Adam, what Zealous is to you, what Reaper's spirits are to her." He was angry at the clockwork god for taking apart one of his weapons. He looks at Adam, "Could always ask for help... some of us know what it's like to spend their entire life fighting... at 6 I was already a part of the army." Kakeru shrugs. Reaper glares at Echo for the backhand but nods, "Yeah well... ya want him?" She then looks at Adam, "Do you want to be the prophet of Echo? ... The prophet of science? It will give you access to the construct you want to see... but I mean... Her parents would still have to say yes."

[Echo]

The gun parts still hovered in the air, and upon the prophet's demands the it was easily reassembled, everything slide back in place with fluid ease. He watched Kakeru trying to gauge if he was the one to tell Dametrius about the Nekomimi he kept so well hidden. However his response went to Reaper as Kakeru's firearm was returned,"I have already expressed my interest".

Echo wasn't going to force Adam into this, unlike some of the other gods; it would be unfortunate if the alchemist refused, and the clockwork god would simply return to Nameless.

[Adam Helviath]

Adam nods, "I wanted to since I started the great work... jus' didn' know if I was good enough..." Some of Adam's deepest concerns and weaknesses were showing for once. He rarely let anyone see this side of depression he carried around with him, the last person he could remember was Ciel. "I'm not one ta usually ask for help... cause I need too much help to ask of anyone..." Adam was 18 again, afraid and alone, feeling useless and ashamed he let himself get this bad.

[Kakeru Kun Fallen]

Kakeru walks over and hugs his friend, "Adam... is this... is this about what happened to Alex and Averie? Want to come with me to see them... after these two or done?" Reaper waits for Adam to answer before striping him of prophet hood. "He is all yours Echo." Then she looks at Adam, "I can... stop the nightmares they are having."

[Echo]

"Ingenuity never disappears. However, for me to accept you, I need a concise answer Adam". The god of science wanted to give the chimera one last chance to refuse. Echo physically backed away noting the cramped mental state that must have been going on in Adam's mind--between the emotions the mortal was feeling and the logic that was almost forcefully being administered. The god would wait here for as long as it took, assuming Zealous wasn't causing absolute mayhem in Nameless again.
