Leandre Raphael August
Who do you work for?:
Independent
Theme song:
On the Nature of Daylight - Max Richter
Physical/Psychological Description:
Leandre's build is lithe and lean, with all of the lankiness one could imagine in a young boy. His brown hair is shaggy and wild, partly obscuring blue-grey eyes. He is appropriately pale for his race, and his cheeks are peppered with freckles. While he is the physical and psychological embodiment of youthful innocence, he is far from childish, and often carries himself with an air of stark maturity.

Background:
"Dhampir, huh?" A voice echoed through a cavernous hall, the walls and floor polished marble. There were papers and books strewn everywhere, and in the middle of the room behind a massive desk sat the source of the sound. 'Leandre August,' read a finely-engraved card clasped in the figure's withered hands. A hooded figure with a hunched back loomed over the man behind the desk. "When he comes of age, sir, the title will be free to claim again."
After a pause, the seated man set down the card and sighed heavily. Milky eyes skimmed over the high back of the desk, all filled with thin slots about the size of a deck of cards. The slot labeled 'innocence' had a withering paper card, not nearly as pristine as Leandre's seemingly just-printed one. The man's hand reached across the desk to grab a small hourglass. He flipped it over, set it down on Leandre's card, and pushed them both off to the side.
"Innocence it is, then. A dhampir. . .they're going to think we have some sort of sense of humor. When the time comes, we shall see. How is this going to play out?"
The hunchback turned and grabbed a large leatherbound volume and began flipping through pages. Finally he stopped. "Born yesterday to a human and vampire, looks like father's a Malkavian, mother hunts vampires." He stopped to chuckle. "The father is going to go off for the 'greater good' of the child, but Leandre's mother dies young." His finger skimmed the text. "She'll be killed in less than ten years' time. Leandre will be there to witness it. Still think this is the right choice, sir?"
With a dry laugh, the man with the hourglass nodded. "Oh yes. I think innocence is the perfect choice for this one."
