Independent
Theme song:
"Die Trying" - Art of Dying
Physical/Psychological Description:
Cai towers over most with his height of 6'5". His stature is broad and muscled from the many years old growing up in a harsh environment. Shoulder length deep red hair adorns his face followed by a deep set of brown, earthy eyes. He is rather a gentle soul despite his intimidating stance. He is an intellect and a thinker, both things he uses to his advantage when tracking down his prey, aka enemies. Cai is a fine hunter and the few scars across his body show this-- a real archer never lets the enemy get too close. He tends to be cold to those he doesn't know at first, preferring to be alone most of the time; however, he is capable of working in a group setting as long as he gains something from it, though this by no means means what he is looking for is a money reward.

Background:
Cai Skovgaard was born in a world separate from this one, in a time when his homeland was under the threat of a giant ice storm dragon. His tale began in a small village deep in the heart of snowy mountains. After the first ice dragon attack, he was forced with his family to move farther south. No amount of fighting could stave off the beast. They settled in and Cai grew into his preteen years. He learned from his father how to use a bow, the longbow specifically but it extended to other bows as well.
Cai was generally the one thought of as weird. Each child was to choose, when ready, a Spirit of the Wild: Bear, Wolf, Snow Leopard, Raven, and their lives then revolved around serving that animal as their guide in life. However, Cai had yet to choose one--that is, until Raven, the animal spirit of cunning and intelligence, chose him. The other young kids strayed far from him, thinking it was very odd for Raven to have chosen him (not to mention there weren't many others that Raven chose). Through their dedication to whichever animal they chose, they could assume that deities' form for a short while. While Cai has a raven form he doesn't resort to using it unless all other options have been voided.
One day Cai's father went on a monthly routine hunting party and came home with a mangled arm thanks to a giant wolf. His father was left unable to serve as part of the hunting party to defend the borders of their village from threats; thus, His father gave him his bow. Cai took it upon himself to be a part of the next hunting party and single-handedly took down the behemoth wolf to avenge his father's injury. Needless to say when he came back to town everyone started to finally warm up to him.
He spent his young adult years going on hunting expeditions, bringing back highly prized furs and meats to sell to the traders that came through the village. He made a good living off it. On one excursion to the woods though he came across a snow leopard. He readied his arrow and prayed to the Spirits that his aim would be true. The fur alone on such a rare animal would be a huge gaining of reputation and his skill as a hunter. This was the first time his arrow missed...by a mere millimeter almost striking the feline's paw. The two of them then got into a rather violent fight and despite the amount of bloodshed, it turned out to be a draw. Neither could best the other, and instead of taking the reputation increase it would have given him, he helped soothe the wounds he had caused. Walking back into town with the snow leopard in tow shocked everyone. Cai was just as surprised thinking the animal would have departed long before the village. The Spirits must have smiled on him that day.
A few months later he married a woman and she became with child; unfortunately, the child didn't live very long after childbirth and the mother passed as well. It was a hard thing for Cai to accept and a part of him blames himself for it.
Sometime later he somehow wound up in modern day Sanguine, but it doesn't change the fact that he still looks for signs of the ice dragon wherever he goes, wanting to be the one to kill it or die trying.
