Shalia Shinoma
Who do you work for?:
Independent
Theme song:
Sakura ~Ikimono Gakari
Physical/Psychological Description:
Shalia is rather small for a Samsaran. Her blue-green hair reaches all the way down her back, stopping at her waist. Her outfit resembles that of a belly dancer: a white skirt that reaches down to her bare feet, and a sleeveless white crop top with straps to hold up her white fingerless sleeve gloves which come a little over her elbow. All her clothing are made of silk as she prefers the feel of that on her skin than any other fabric. Her skin is darker then other Samsaran, but still a light blue and her eyes seem to give a hint of loneliness.

Background:
Shalia cant remember much about how she came to be. She was found lying along the west coast of North America. When her father would tell her about this, she wouldn't understand any of it. She didn't know exactly how to tell him she was deaf, so he didn't know for the first few months of them being together. Since she was naturally deaf, she couldn't gauge her volume, as a result, she barely spoke. This lead the few visitors that showed up to believe that she was mute, not deaf.
Despite her clinginess to her father, she realized at an early age that she was different than most humans. Whenever visitors would come over, she'd isolate herself in her room, choosing loneliness over the bombardment of questions and stares. However, every now-and-then she'd go down to say hi, craving more human interaction than just her father.
Shalia wasn't forced to go to school, and therefore spent most of her time in their small garden in the backyard. She felt more at home when she was outside in the garden. Something about the beauty of nature captivated her. She often found herself out there for hours talking to the plants she cared for. Of course, she didn't actually talk, it was more like a mutual understanding on a deeper level.
One day, Shalia overheard one of the visitors talking about lush forests in South America. The descriptions he gave was enough to almost make Shalia squeel. However, she was now torn between her desire to visit South America, and her want to stay with her father. Later that evening, they discussed it. She's to go to South Africa with the family heirloom, a katana with a decorated green hilt, with her for protection, and she can go back to her loving father when she's ready. The next day, her father waved her off from the docks as she sailed to South America, and unknown adventure.
