Domonic Roderick
Who do you work for?:
Brightblood
Theme song:
"I Don't Wanna Love Her" - Brinck
Physical/Psychological Description:
Dominic has a stouter frame compared to his half brother, Degaré. He has taken to his dedication of building bulk as well as lean muscle, making him a formidable opponent in any hands on combat; his skin holds a light gray tinge to it and his eyes, when shown are a deep golden hue. A large scar from a sword mars his face on the left side. Bone and leathery-like wings protrude from his back, the membrane portion a slate gray and the wings themselves are pitch black.
His mannerisms are often lacking when he socializes, and he naturally follows his contracts to a t. His prowess with a katana and stealth skills are only even seen once by most--and that's the split second before he kills them. Often times no one sees his approach because he chooses to not reveal himself. He doesn't care who dies or for what reason if they're his target. Dominic is also very protective over Degaré and goes to any lengths to see to his safety, even if it means having to physically harm him.

Background:
Dominic Roderick grew up in Luxembourg farther north to the border of Germany than his younger half brother, Degaré. His father often took trips into Germany concerning his work and didn't approve of French being spoken in the household; thus Dominic learned German at an early age. Whenever his father was out of town, he learned French from his mother becoming quickly fluent in both.
Dominic's father was abusive and often beat him with a belt along with sexual abuse. Dominic grew to detest him and his mother often got into arguments with her husband, taking her child to safety only to have his dad track them down and have him be stolen in the middle of the night. This repeated for several years, and the pedophilic lie his father had for him never waned. It was during this time in his life that he discovered he had a half-brother, that his mother had an affair with another much kinder man; naturally Dominic's dad was livid.
In his fit of rage, his dad left for several weeks during that time Degaré and Dominic started to bond with one another. Dominic, who was proficient with a swords, particularly katanas, taught Degaré how to use one and they sparred often. They got to learn each other's strategies and more than that Dominic finally started to feel like he was making a friend--his father disallowed it. By the time his dad returned, Dominic had met a pit fiend by the name of Epoch who ordered Dominic to kill his father; he did it with pleasure. He took the time to break every joint in his dad's body before ending him, and Epoch then stole him away from Degaré into his cult.
His later teenage years were spent missing his only connection to another person. It got to be unbearable, and when he took notice of his half-brother's first happy relationship, he not only abused her but killed her in cold blood. Dominic was brainwashed into obeying Epoch. It was here he truly discovered his own potential--mercilessly killing other cult followers if it meant gaining the attention and praise of his overlord...though whenever Dominic faltered to obey, Epoch to sate his lust on the man, repeatedly, getting him to submit. But for the most part things went smoothly for him. Though again he eventually started to rebel more often telling the demon that he was done playing his game of 'making a better world by destroying the old one'; Degaré had eventually showed up but it was too late to save the humanity left in Dominic. Epoch had earlier placed a demon spirit within Dominic, and when Degaré showed up to save him from the pit fiend's evil clutches, Epoch awoke the spirit, thus making Dominic into a tiefling. The process was very painful for Dominic, and all the other humans this was tried on had failed; thus, Dominic was prized even more by Epoch went his best assassin didn't perish from the transformation. After their huge fight when Dominic had almost killed Degaré, he profusely apologized and gave his brother one of his katanas as a symbol of friendship.
Life became more complex from then on, the already emotionless killer that he was only made him realize how alone he was. Though despite the bad blood that existed between the two brothers, they still felt a responsibility to one another. Dominic took his protection over Degaré to an extreme, unable to help himself because the demon part of his soul now craved for it; it was no wonder then that Dominic would break out into psychotic episodes if he wasn't careful. Dominic currently has no morals and the only one that means something to him is Degaré.

Do you have what the vamps like?:
A-
Dominic respects Nesirae, but doesn't pray to him as often as he gives offerings in his name. He also pays his respects to Nadja, though he is often not as generous with his offerings to her--if either tasked him with a task he would follow it without question, unless it involves killing Degaré.
