Velgaith
Who do you work for?:
Independent
Theme song:
Last Man Standing by Hammerfall
Physical/Psychological Description:
Velgaith has a number of physical shortcomings, lacking hair, lips, and eyes. Instead of hair, he has three large, rhino-like horns on his forehead. It's been said through whispers that at one point he had eyes that were blacker than the sockets they once rested in. With no conventional sense of sight, Velgaith instead "sees" through a combination of his own Sin Sight and Sixth Sense, which allows him to "see" both beings and threats that would affect his ability to walk (or fight) on his own.
Velgaith is a rather old being, being able to remember his creator's reign. He has a rather healthy dose of contempt towards Varius, as he sees him as an usurper of his Goddess/creator. Because of this, he left Varius' realm and sought bloodshed on Earth. He exerts his strength on the battlefield, not caring for who's side he fights on, and often joins fights on his own side, fighting just for the sake of having the largest body count.

Background:
Even at a young age, Velgaith was a fierce, heartless warrior. Many children his age were either hospitalized or outright killed by Velgaith in his training period. During his final trail in becoming a man and, by extension, a true warrior (although any who had fought him or had seen him fight had already accepted him as such) his opponent fought unfairly, getting in close and gouging his eyes out. The pain and shock caused him to fly into a frenzy, and the lack of eyes seemed to have little to no affect as he seemed to still home in on his opponent, before finally catching him and crushing his skull.
When Varius succeeded the Goddess of Death, Velgaith had expected a God that would expand his own domain even more aggressively than the last. When Varius had turned out to only expand his control, and not his domain, Velgaith felt contempt towards the new God. After all, he was a fighter; why should a ruler deny two races worth of warriors what they were born to do? Finally, bloodlust overwhelmed complacency, and like the wild animal he is he broke his bonds, letting his desire for combat dictate where he went.
At one point, he came upon opposing drug cartels, one having assaulted the other's base. Being weaponless, Velgaith grabbed the personal batering ram that had been left in the front doorway. As he focused on his new targets, as well as how good it felt to have a weapon in his hands again, flames spouted forth from the mass of steel. Surprising both himself and part of the cartel members, he used the confusion to spring into combat. The pit fiend swung the flaming steel rod with careless abandon, and by the time he was done, part of the building had collapsed in from stray swings from the ram hitting supports in the walls.
Now, he wanders aimlessly, the bartering ram he now calls a weapon balanced on his shoulder as he searches for his next conflict. Despite her passing, he still raises up his slain foes in tribute to his Goddess.
