Tekkan Homus
Who do you work for?:
Independent, but mostly takes contracts from White Rabbit
Theme song:
Way of the Warrior by Hammerfall
Physical/Psychological Description:
So far as Oread go, Tekkan is pretty run of the mill, both physically and mentally. He has Clay colored skin, with Onyx black hair, and emerald green eyes. As a person, Tekkan is stable and protective of those he grows close to, and as such he prefers to only associate with repeat customers. To first-time customers, he seems cold and standoffish, and he may go through an entire job without saying a word but his ability to deliver for his price is never in doubt.

Background:
Tekkan calls a small village in the mountains his hometown. This village is home to mostly humans and oread, and is almost blessed with incredibly fertile soil. Whether this is because of the oread, or the oread are there because of it is hard to say. What WAS clear was that Tekkan was not cut out for farm life. Anything that he tried to do seemed to either fall apart or was otherwise lessened by his participation. It had seemed that Tekkan would never find his livelihood in his hometown.
That changed when Brightblood attacked his little mountain village. They were looking to take the humans of their town as feed for their armies. The people would have none of it. Armed with farming tools, and Tekkan told to stay away because of his seeming inability to do anything, they faced off against the Brightblood forces. Tekkan, however, couldn't live with the fact that others were fighting and dying for him to do nothing with himself. Armed with a family heirloom, a mace used by the clerics of his family numerous generations ago, he ran toward the battleground. For having never fought before, he fought as if he was born with his weapon in his hand. After hours of nonstop fighting, the Brightblood forces were driven away.
Tekkan took this as a sign from Shizukesa (a God preferred by the oread because of the stability of order) that he was to become not just a warrior, but a defender, a warrior who uses his strength to protect others. He collected up the weapon and armor of his ancestors, as it was their weapon that allowed him to protect his home, and he hoped that their armor would protect him, as well as those he sought to protect. He then went on a pilgrimage to Shizukesa's temples to balance his body and spirit. His body was trained with Hung Gar, a solid, balanced style of martial art. His spirit was trained via learning the ways of Incarnum, a technique that requires control of the spirit to use. In true oread fashion, he learned everything that those at the temples could teach him in these areas, as well as the finer points of the God of Order's philosophy.
Having perfected both spirit and body, Tekkan has employed these to protect others. He is no charity, however, as he is expected some sort of payment for his services. He screens his contracts carefully, so as to not upset the balance of power between the two major factions of the world.

Worships Shizukesa. Although Tekkan is typically employed to defend a specific item or person, he has no qualms with recovery work, but it should be known by his employers that he is not one to do things quietly.
