"The Animal" - Disturbed
Physical/Psychological Description:
Tyr's human form is moderately pale, and underneath his brilliantly steel blue eyes dark circles deem his nights as restless. He is well known for dressing in business quality attire, ensuring that not only are his clothes suitable but his hair has a tendency to be kept impeccable as well. His body was built primarily for speed over pure brawn but he can generally handle his own when placed into a tough situation that he is unable to talk himself out of.
Much like a wolf Madsen has gained a few personality quirks-- a strong urge to protect any and everything that he considers "his", hostility to anyone who threatens someone that he holds dear to him, outright killing those in his territory, and very primal need for hunting, raw meat, and sex, just to name a few things. Being a werewolf leaves him with little recollection of what happens when he changes (as he believes his lycanthropy is a curse), the more simplistic wolf mindset doesn't translate over as well to human form--though he can for the most part understand human language by the intonation, though speaking anything remotely human in hybrid form takes a lot of willpower on his part. There are faint and blurry segments that he can recall unless he frenzies; the only thing he would remember then is seeing red. It is very difficult for Tyr to stop himself from killing once he's gotten a taste of fresh blood.
Tyr's werewolf on the other hand wants nothing more than to hunt and kill. Its roots feel deep in the man's bones and it's almost like it goes out of its way to make his life as miserable as possible. Half the time the wolf is helpful and the rest of the time the wolf isn't--the longer Tyr goes without letting the wolf out, the harder it will be for him to control himself around anything that looks human. While Tyr is terrified of what he has become, there is also a part of him that is slowly becoming more and more addicted to shifting into his wolf form; moreover, the wolf sees anything as potential prey, and that includes friends. His curse makes it difficult to be around humans as even in his human form he radiates a predatory vibe.

Background:
Tyr grew up in the quiet port city of Tromsø, Norway with no knowledge of the supernaturals that surrounded him. He spent his early years in Norway but at the age of eleven, job opportunities had his family move to America, Oregon to be precise; however they kept their home in Tromso in case they ever decided to return there again. Tyr often had difficulty situating himself in the classroom because he only understood Nynorsk (spoken Norwegian). This caused him to become very quiet and observant-- a skill he would later use in his career to greatly benefit himself.
The job of the police force always interested him, particularly private investigating (legal P.I.). Tyr always had a knack for solving riddles, puzzles, and generally anything logic based that you threw at him; as a result, the man got his license when he was twenty-- and during his first few years, he partnered up with another guy to go and work case files with. Nowadays he freelances, offering a hand to anyone in need of a detective. He's encountered very few supernaturals--partially because they seem to hide so well.
He didn't gain "access" to his werebeast self until something pushed him over the edge. There was always a slight feeling at the back of his mind, but it never came to forefront until recently. He's still in to process of learning how to use his beast form since the anatomy is much different from a human.
Tyr leans towards his Norwegian customs with steady, calm, dedication. In conversation, he maintains eye contact and he only speaks after thinking through his words with careful precision. He never misuses his words; his sincerity extends to his honesty as well-- he often does not hesitate to let others know when he doesn't like them; moreover, he will speak his mind if he believes it is necessary.
Some may see him as a "gentle brute"; however, he is quite capable of communicating that he is not to be messed (or teased) with. Insults are seen to him as a sign to be untrustworthiness, and he loses all hopes of befriending someone who directs those insults towards him-- or anyone with whom he is close to. He takes his relationships seriously, and he is extremely sincere with any and all personal contacts he has made. He may take a long time to develop a close relationship with someone but it is often worth it; Tyr is one person you can rely on if you're his buddy (he'll come running if you're ever in trouble).
Nightmares often keep him awake at night. Ever since he was a child he dreamt of a white stag and a wolf, the wolf always got him. Because of the constant reoccurring nightmares, Tyr has developed a phobia of wolves.
The beast inside him grows restless, and he especially becomes nervous the more full the moon gets.
His main vice is gluttony--sex and food he can't get enough of; the beast in him takes its toll and often drains him. He also holds the age old "weakness to silver" unlike other beasts. In truth, he has a bad allergic reaction to nickel( which is so severe that he breaks out mere seconds after contact with the substance.
Tyr follows the Lutheran religion, believing everyone born is already damned and that you must work hard to remain worthy in the eyes of God (the human one). His main virtue is that of fortitude. Even if he's bleeding out or badly injured, he will stubbornly push himself to achieve his goals.
Due to some unknown circumstances he has somehow managed to live for an extra 170 years passed what should have been his death all in part thanks to Rhaego, the current god of nature. It was unknown by the detective at the time but he had somehow managed to anger Rhaego so severely that the god cursed him with longevity and pulls the strings of the beast within Tyr. There are rumors circling that Tyr may or may not be linked to the Nordic mythological god of Judgement.
The man currently resides in custody of Brightblood taken from his girlfriend, Avalynn, as well as his children. He doesn't remember much else of his past, but he now holds a great hatred for Demmatrius who spent most of the "extra time" torturing him into servitude--by taking Avalynn as well and harming her. The rage that Madsen now feels is never ending.
