Hearts without Chains (Wedding of Akusai and Mikhail)

[Akusai Kyoushi]

Akusai was beside himself. He did the whole wedding thing once before. It had been nice but then it just didnt have the impact this one would. He knew this one was forever and the man he was marrying loved him, so of course he was a complete nervous wreck. He was standing before a big floor length mirror in his room the day of his wedding, hours from driving to the wedding hall, and his mind came to one conclusion. "Im too ugly to marry!" Look at my hair, why wont it look nice??" he wailed. Yes while he finally gave up on the delusion that he was fat he still fully believed that he must have some flaws.

Was it acceptable to beat up someone on their wedding day? Was that okay? Because Hana was one more complaint away from pushing Akusai into a locker and beating him up for his lunch money. She groaned. "Ugh, I'm going to call Mikhail and make him come down here and screw the insecurity out of you. What's the matter with you? You're perfect, you've always been perfect, and there's a bearded man nearby who is going to marry the shit out of you because he knows you're perfect too."
Hana took the comb from Aku and popped the back of his hand with it. "Now just let me fix it. Turn away from the mirror and sit down."
Hana HAD to get ready before Akusai did, because she knew she'd be spending most of this time finishing him up. Since Aku was wearing pink, Hana wore white. Her dress, custom-made by Dior, was skintight and floor-length, fanning out at the bottom, with a wispy pink chiffon cape that matched Aku's kimono. Her curls were swept over one shoulder and secured with a silver branch of cherry blossoms. Her makeup was geisha-reminiscent, with tailored red lips and soft pink cheeks. She looked like a doll.
Rolling around on his favorite blanket on the floor was Finn. He was doing a good job at messing up the hair Hana had spent so long combing to one side, making him look quite the gentleman. He filled out a custom three-piece tuxedo (a real one this time, not a onesie), and had long since kicked off his little velcro dress shoes. He was perfectly quiet, equipped with his favorite dog plushie and a pacifier that made him look like he had a moustache.

akusai nodded meekly. "Okay okay." he slumped down on a soft pristine looking white chair near the mirror, But now he faced Finn and oh he was a lovely distraction for Akusai. He watched him roll around and be unfathomably cute. "well actually Mikhail is perfect because he always knows what to say to shut me up. Hes smarter than he even realizes I think..and by the way YOU look gorgeous and your son, oh just LOOK at him. "Finn noticed eyes on him and flashed Akusai his winning smile. "I am really happy for you.Hello there little man. dont you look handsome, did you dress up for me?" he cooed. Well aku never lost his pretty daddy ways, they had been buried but not lost. Thanks to Finn Aku shut up for five minutes.

And look at that, five minutes was all Hana needed to finish the task. She tucked the last comb into Aku's hair, quite astonished that he wasn't complaining of a headache yet with how tight some of his hair was pulled, and stepped back to admire her work. While doing so, she glanced down at Finn and smiled. "Yeah, he's pretty cute. . .he knows it, too. Little chubby bastard."
Finn smiled so hard that he pushed the pacifier out of his toothless mouth. Hana calmly bent and popped it back in. Being a regenerating machine helped, but Finn was mostly the reason she got her pre-baby body back so quickly. He was a surprising amount of physical work.
"When's that woman due? It should be soon, right? Tell her to hurry up so I can buy so many cute things for your baby."
Hana grabbed her purse from the table and dug around until she found a tube of lipstick. It was the incredible red she was wearing. "They say you have to wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. Your dress is new, I'm sure one of those combs is ancient. Hm. . .what are you wearing under that thing?" she asked, winking.
Bending down, Hana opened the lipstick and began applying it to Aku. "Here's something borrowed."

Akusai's heritage was in a culture that was masterful at pristine perfection. The makeup was minimized and smooth, hiding flaws, the acting Akusai knew taught him effortlessly smooth and concise movements and the hair dressings and ornate kimonos all blended together on the man to make one never just see him as a boy in a dress. But despite his charm an looks, essential to any incubus, he still desperately needed the likes of Hana and his Mikhail to make him truly feel beautiful.

He watched Hana dig in her purse, and though unable to move much he reached down to give finn's irresistibly chubby arm a squeeze. He looked up though when Hana was back before him. Oh this was a thrill, to have a female friend share makeup. "Soon,ah, something blue?" he instantly puckered up for the lipstick and then hyperly exclaimed. "I still need blue!" Mikhail was probably having a way easier time.

The quiet demoness who would normally be with Mikhail since she knew him better walks into where Akusai and Hana were getting ready. She was wearing a dark blue dress with soft flowers on it, her black hair left down and curly. She reaches into her bag hearing Aku's complaint and held out a blue flower. He didn't have to take it and Avalynn wouldn't be upset if he didn't. That was the kind of person she was. She looks to Hana and smiles a little bit, before looking back to Akusai. The god of Justice's fiance was as quiet as he was. Rylie walks in though it was obviously not the female though it was the females form, nope this was Rylan, it was rather obvious in the skittish nature of the boy. "Kon'nichiwa." The boy says with a smile. "I came by to see how everything was going?" Rylie wasn't going anywhere. She was planning at staying home due to all the complications that came with having a baby... Let alone as many as she was. Avalynn took a quick quiet step away from Rylan. She looks toward the door before bowing, "Congratulations. I stopped by to say hi. So I'm going to go say hi to Mikhail now. You look beautiful by the way." She says before running off if she was allowed to.

With a steady hand, Hana applied the lipstick that would undoubtedly stay on for as long as Aku's kimono did. She stepped back to admire her handy work just in time for an entire party, it seemed, to join them.
She didn't say anything to either of them outside of a quick nod, and to mutter thanks when Ava offered up the flower. Hana deftly tucked it into Aku's hair, just in the back of his updo where the two colors of his hair came together. Unintentionally, it also matched the flower that would represent Mikhail.
"Okay. Turn around and look at yourself. Tell me what you think."

Akusai smiled to the two. "Youre precious ava-chan!" he waved her off and then focused on Rylie. "Oh hon im fine, please go rest I would feel terrible if you overtaxed yourself for me, particularly on such an important day." He sighed and turned around, not expecting too much but now he had all the things he needed, right down to something blue and wow, Hana had the best lipstick. the pretty little blossom gasped when he saw himself and had to fight the urge to tear up. "Hana, you made me beautiful. youre like my fairy godmother only hot." finn squeed in delight. at the door to another room down the hall was Bear, in a tux, looking amazing.He gave it a knock. "Mikhail man, you gettin along okay?"

Ava waves as she leaves the room, before going to the same door that Bear was at. She waits for him, to answer or acknowledge the man at the door. She does say, "I'm out here too Mikhail." She was standing far enough from Bear that he wouldn't accidentally touch her.

Rylie nods and waves to the two, "I just wanted to make sure. I hope you have fun Akusai~." Before leaving the room herself, only to replaced by Amice. She wasn't yet dressed, mostly because she would need her husbands help as she was still rather injured. "Hey there." She says to the boy, wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Hana was busy smiling sheepishly and feeling proud of her handiwork, but that didn't prevent her from noticing the surplus of people showing up to visit Aku. Hana groaned. "You'll see him soon everyone, now leave Akusai alone so he can get ready in peace! Go go!"


Not too far from there, Mikhail could be heard pacing the floor from outside the door. His pattern was stopped when Bear knocked, and he moved the greet the Irishman almost at once. He and Bear weren't best friends or anything, but they had met, and Mikhail thought the guy was all right.
"Ehh...how do I look?"
He'd opted for traditional Japanese garb. This was certainly not a suit and tie. With his dark hair nearly combed and his beard groomed and full, he looked like some ancient Japanese warrior come to life. The little blue flower he'd picked was pinned to his hakama. He didn't want to look like an idiot. This was Aku's day, not his.

Akusai laughed and waved. "Obaasan! Ill see you soon!" the pretty little man bowed to his grandmother. who, like the rest of his family did not look the age her title implied. He looked at Hana, who was definitely his best female friend and it showed from her protective nature, of course she was also super mom, so she was super protective. Crimson was also around but he was off at the reception hall, being the wedding singer for the evening and it was Kaze who came ot the door next, his crass self. "Hi dolls, we have to get going in ten so throw on whatever little finishing touches you need, talk about how fat you are and get moving!" Kaze was another entity from their youth that was unchanged.

Down the hall Bear spied avalynn and gave a cordial little semi-bow. "Lo Miss, jest gettin the good doctor all sorted out." When he entered he flashed the russian bear a big toothy smile. "Bloody gran! " the clash of cultures was a sight to behold, but two cute beards was still two cute beards. "Ya look loike a samurai. and ya seem so composed too." Among the other guests that were attending was a virtual slide show of the town they all came from. While gods were busy creatures they sent gifts and thought akusai wasnt sure if Kakeru or ayden could make it Raphael would be there as well as Crimson and Bear's brood .

Hana liked high fashion and modeled when she wasn't busy kicking ass, sure, but she never got to express her inner primadonna so much as when she was around Akusai. It was like he drew out everyone's inner queen. The guy had the charisma of Hitler, for pete's sake, so it didn't really come as a surprise. Hana finished all of her last touches to make Akusai beautiful, then stopped in front of the mirror to make sure she was still put together, too.
"This is like. . .wow, this is such an intense day." She gave Aku's shoulder a gentle squeeze. "Mikhail is going to see you in a few hours, and I know he's just going to lose it. You look perfect, and I'm so happy that you finally get to have this."
Hana was beyond excited to marry Bear, but she didn't want anything extravagant like this. As long as, by the end of the day, she was Mrs. Flanagan, she'd be a happy camper. It didn't matter if 3 people or 300 people showed up.
"Are we ready to head out now?" she asked, carefully balancing on staggering heels while kneeling to wiggle Finn back into his shoes.



Mikhail smoothed his hands down his front. His folds and pleats were perfect. His sash couldn't be more spot-on if the hakama-maker himself fixed it. Not a hair was out of place. His beard was impeccably groomed. It was almost entirely convincing that the Russian couldn't be shaken. Maybe he just never worried about anything. He was put together so well, had such incredible composure. Then he picked up a glass of water off of the table for a drink, and it was so apparent - just in the way the water sloshed - that he was shaking. Stone-faced as always, he set the glass down after a sip and followed Bear out of the room. "Ve shall go now."

Akusai sighed dreamily, forgetting his own fears for a moment as he was reminded of gettin to see Mikhail in his finery. "I knew if I just stuck around long enough, things would get better for people like me. And now marriage for me isnt a lie or just something we say, its something people recognize. I honed my ability to charm once long ago just to survive the cruelty one faces for loving another man and now I have everything i want and i can charm to stay in control and stay on top an honey i couldnt do it without a friend like you." he flashed a coy wink at Hana but crouched down to help her scoop up Finn, who he was already very fond of. He wondered if the child they were going to get might be like it's parents. He thought it would be quit funny if he had a son or daughter chasing after future dashing rogue; Finn.

Bear meanwhile, pleasant jovial and soft hearted like the dog he was found he took aa strong liking to Mikhail. They differed but still, they could understand each other. "eee look at ya," he laughed, knowing fear well as he had once been a k-9 and could practically smell it. "Dont ya worry you'll blow tha pretty lil man away, c'mon lad." he urged, leading him out so they could head to the hall.

The grandfather of the bride wasn't far behind his wife, deciding to come and check up on his grandson on this most memorable day as well as retrieve Amice. He couldn't have been prouder to know that today would be the best day of his life. He was dressed in pink and black, his pink was several shades darker than Aku's but it still complimented him nicely. His ebon hair was pulled back into a loose, flowing tail, that fell back just below his shoulders. He smiles looking at Aku "Ah Akusai, my boy, you truly are a sight to behold today. Mikhail is a very lucky man. As are you" he places a hand on Amice and leans in to kiss her cheek "We should get you dressed love. It's almost time to start." then to Aku "I'll see you soon Akusai" and heads on out, leading Amice with him so he could help get her into her outfit.

Tursac waited quietly in the room, looking at all the decorations that had been put up for this wedding. It truly was a beautiful arrangement. He couldn't have planned anything like this. A simple man only desired a simple life and thanks to Aku's help, he had been able to start making a life for himself here. And having known Amore was well and had the chance to spend some time with her before her return back to New York, he was back to his normal, cheerful self. He was dressed the best clothes he could afford, and would likely be one to stand out the most from the very Japanese style wedding. But he was in a black tux with polished shoes and a pristine white shirt. He had even gone through great lengths to ensure that his beard was properly trimmed and groomed, knowing that he wanted to be he best for the friend that had done so much for him and past and present.

Avalynn made her way to where she was supposed to be, sitting and waiting for the even to begin. Amore stayed close to her lover holding onto his arm, her brunnette hair tied up and to the side, her form fitting blue dress going to the floor. Kakeru of course was no where to be seen since he had been gone for quite some time. Ayden was there though sitting quietly tapping his fingers on his thigh. Ayden was not one for a suit contrary to how good he looked in one. Amice followed her husband quietly, currently she wasn't a huge fan of Hana, and her rudeness. Amice leans over to her husband and quietly whispers, 'I won't be able to stay for the whole thing. You will have to find someone else to attend the after party with you.' it wasn't meant to be rude, but truthful, Amice still hurt and while she wanted to see Akusai get married she also needed to rest the broken bits of her body.
