The man watched closely as the goddess of Nightmares was seized and held off the floor like she was a rag-doll. The beast part of him oddly jerked forward like he was about to lash out at the threat; however, Life had vanished, which left a dissatisfied wolfblood in its place.
Another low growl sounded from him something threatening-the monster hated being toyed with. Golden eyes scanned over the area trying to look for any traces of their quarry, though now he was relying far more on the scent trails. Madsen's focus was broken by Varius' inquiry and the less clear image of the note Life abandoned in his wake. Everything seemed too washed out in pale yellows and grays so a quick glance over of the paper was all Justice needed.
"Keep...it", he barely had time to say before he heard the bones in his body start to sickeningly crack. Muscle shifted, regrouped and extended in areas where needed, bringing with it unfathomable body- wracking pain. His breathing cut out suddenly between the teeth clenched screams. It resumed some moments later when nothing left of his shaking body was human.
Clothing had been shaken off by the beast, whose first reaction to smelling the human on them turned around and shredded into them. A similar aggressive greeting, a snarling display of fangs, greeted Death the second he realized he wasn't alone. However just as soon did the black-furred tundra wolf (size of a dire wolf) start off at a determined jog, keeping his muzzle low to the ground and a cautious glance behind him every so often as if making sure Varius was maintaining a good enough distance away. There wasn't much that could stop Madsen, moreso the wolf. He was fueled by a bloodlust made only stronger by the closeness to the night of a full moon. The veil would be thinnest then and the were animal would be brimming with energy.
