Daxton stopped moving; he stopped admiring his goddess, he stopped speaking, and he stopped looking at anything but the space in front of him. All functions of his brain stopped for a moment when few words were spoken. "Lux here is to Nadja." Like a record that played only one song, this woman's words danced around his imaginative bubble, making him conjure up all sorts of crazy thoughts.
Soon enough, he turned around to face the woman, who seemed to be moving to far behind the bulking man. Who was she hiding from? She looked confident, yet her composure spoke of nothing but fear. She looked like a little school girl, too afraid to leave her fathers side for elementary. Not even paying attention to Lux, he stared at the woman who was close to Nadja, then finally spoke, "Who is Lux to Nadja?"
Something instantly touched Daxton's lip, causing him to look down to a single piece of popcorn laying on the floor. His brow raised when he looked at the cause of this prank, a man laughing his ass off. This brought enjoyment in Daxton, seeing a man who could find happiness from a woman being shot, another woman being afraid, a man standing in the room like a brain dead idiot, and a dragon contemplating who should die. This made Daxton extremely happy.
"And you are?" The dragon said to the new arrival, before having SOMETHING else take him by surprise. It was the sound that came from his hand held radio. Apparently, a creature, with a snake, showed its face in Daxton's mansion, killing several of his men in a path for war. He let out a deep sigh then ordered his men, "If you can't kill him then don't fight him. Lead him down here. I am pretty sure that this monster is here for the woman I just shot, like EVERYONE else in this room."
Just when one thought that nothing else would set Daxton over the top, Lux finally spoke. And when he spoke, it was like stupid trying to translate into smart for Daxton; the only problem being that there was no translation for stupid except stupid. Daxton finally turned his attention to Lux, the same attention that was once showed to the woman of Nadja, then he moved to his chair once again. He sat in it, placed his legs on the desk, then placed his fingers behind his head. "Well you want her, take her. I most certainly can't do a damn thing with her while my Nadja is watching. And, if you don't mind me saying, the bitch is bad luck incarnated."
