Degare, known well around the area as the eccentric dresser, found a decent place to sit on the edge of a flat roof. He was carrying his acoustic guitar with him and spent a minute strumming each cord to make sure it was in tune. Then with a steady pick up of the notes he started playing an old song this world wouldn't have remembered had he not revived it.
"Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true..."
His voice wasn't the purest thing to hit people's ears, being offkey as is but that didn't halt him in his somber state.
"Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side"
The keys he struck were flawlessly played, though the normally cheerful man had fallen into a phase of not feeling too up to do much of anything. Playing the guitar helped temporarily shake off the dark thoughts he had circling his mind. For someone not familiar with the man his attire would have others think he was poor--and they wouldn't be wrong. He didn't have much income but what he did like to do was hand make his own clothes. All of which were influenced by the colors of Halloween. Orange, black, royal purple, a bit of yellow here and there and even some deep green all played somewhere on his person. Though despite his down mood the man's voice was loud enough to echo through the empty streets. To his knowledge his concert was being played solely for himself.
